What is the Innovation Diffusion Lab?

The Innovation Diffusion Lab (IDL), housed within the College of Media and Communication at Texas Tech University, provides knowledge and expertise on the diffusion of innovations (DOI) theory. IDL offers opportunities for research, education, and community engagement for students, staff, and faculty at Texas Tech as well as others in the United States and around the world.

IDL strives to become an internationally recognized leader in diffusion research, education, and practices.

IDL provides expertise, collaboration, and community engagement to advance and promote diffusion research in developing smart communities and associated technologies, practices, and ideologies, in various contexts.
